The doors in Al-Hoceima really exist. They front a bank in the town of the same name in Northern Morocco. Hence the vertical line down the middle.
 
The painting, which is the only one of its kind, is a faithful reproduction of the doors. I even attempted to capture the way the light played on the burnished bronze of the pattern. If this makes me seem like a real artist I must point out that I didn't paint it from life - I took a photograph and painted it at home.
