This design was the second to emerge from my attempts to extract patterns from Magic Squares. In fact it follows the same one used in 'Gosport'. In this instance though, I was trying to capture the colours of leaves just before they fell during Autumn. This explains the token branches and the background of sky. It was painted using acrylics on hardboard.
 
The original painting is still in my possession.
