Summer Afternoon (Tree No X)

The colours used for this tree were derived from a series of photographs of a Horse Chesnut that stood outside an office I worked in. The pictures were taken at intervals of a month throughout two consecutive years and formed the basis for this image and that for Autumn Evening.
 
The photographs illustrated that no matter how dense the foliage some of the sky always showed through, as did some of the branches.
